02-29-08 - Leap Day
This morning i went to work super early to train someone to clean our disgusting bottle machines. Once I arrived I found out that they only scheduled her for 1 hour and me for 4. ARGH!
Just as my shift of disgustingness was ending, and I was plotting a 4 hour shower upon my return home, we received a phone call....
One of our coworkers, Stephanie, is MIA. She recently (last weekend) moved into her own apartment. She used to live with her sister and her niece, however her niece is getting married, so they all got new apartments when the lease was up. Stephie was sick this week. She went home tuesday , an wed went to the local immediate care center to get treated as she has no PCP. They diagnosed her with " a flu in her lungs"..(isnt that pneumonia?). Yesterday her sister checked on her in the morning and she was asking for her husband Larry, who has been dead for several years (maybe 7-10?). Yesterday evening, she didnt answer the phone at all. This morning her sister tried to call her and stopped by on her way to work. She didnt answer either the door or the phone. She will be going over at lunch with the landlord to get inside to check on Stephanie. But, int he mean time, I am extremely anxious and concerned. Even if she is ok. She can't be very OK or she would have answered the phone.
So I am going in tonight to cover the shift she is supposed to be working, and am terrified about this.
So, please...everyone...give Stephie your prayers. To whichever god or goddess you desire.
Thank you.
