OK. so for those of you who have watched TV this weekend at all...

the "October Surprise"

aka Friday the Thirteenth Hell Day...

aka.. the Lake effect snow storm that dumped over 2 feet of snow on my house....

Has been and gone..and yet we may still be feeling the effects for the next 5 days.

I am one of the unfortunate people who still does not have power, and on Friday night, the Phone lines went out also. ARGH!

So, not only have I been without my computer *gasp* but my first wedding anniversary was hell, and now I have lost my last lifeline to reality outside of our home. 
Yes folks, cabin fever set in SUPER quickly.

At any rate, we are all fine, we have a fireplace, which we are using to heat the house, and a gas stove, so we have been able to eat.

My sister who lives in VA now, arrived on Thursday around 2pm, just early enough to beat the snow here....barely. Now, I believe she and her husband, remember all the reasons they left Buffalo...lol

Living without power, phones, and a water ban for 2 days....and if you DO use water, you have to boil it before you can drink it, as the pumping stations were down for over 24 hours...ARGH!

So anyways... we have survived. I dont like reading by candlelight so much, the flickering makes my eyes hurt, which then in turn makes my head hurt....so....blah... but we'll be fine I am sure.

So I shall see you all again when the power is restored. I will update and stuff....

I just wanted to make sure that the tuatha knew that we were fine.....not that anyone bothered to ask....*narrows eyes at all of you*......Luv you all tata!
